Acadia Music Fest (and Cuvée): Thibodaux, LA

While we were sharing appetizers at Cuvée Wine Bar & Bistro (pictures below), I enjoyed my peaceful view of the grass, which is the location of the annual Acadia Music Fest. 

(The 2024 date is October 19!)

The Ben Meyer Foundation created the festival, and every year, festival proceeds are donated to local charities in honor of Mr. Meyer, whose life will continue to impact others indefinitely! Wow, right?!

The view and memories of past festivals made me think about the word legacy.

According to Merriam-Webster, legacy is defined as:

1. a gift by will, especially of money or other personal property

2. something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past.

We all leave a legacy, though perhaps not as enduring or far-reaching as Mr. Meyer's. Nevertheless, it happens whether we are aware or not. With that in mind, I want to be intentional about the mark I will leave on the world.

As an imperfect, Fantastically Flawed human, I make my share of mistakes. Despite this, I am dedicated to making my life a net positive. Some days are undoubtedly better than others, but I embrace and laugh at being a work in progress, continually learning and growing.
