In October 2023, I hired the most amazing graphic artist, Joshua Mount, to help create what I initially thought would be a simple “logo” for a new initiative. I placed the word “logo” in quotes because, at the time, I had no idea it would become something much more meaningful. It took months to complete, but what we ended up with wasn’t just a design — it was our version of the Alpha and Omega. And let’s be honest, you can’t call any representation of the Alpha and Omega a “logo.”

When I founded Go To The Grass, I had two goals:
  1. To share Christ’s presence in the seemingly ordinary everyday moments

  2. To encourage people to step away from life’s distractions and find a quiet place, preferably in nature, so that they can hear His Still Small Voice.

But if I’m being honest, Go To The Grass was born out of anger. At the time, it felt like Christians were being mocked at every turn. For years, our faith was treated like an oddity, something outdated, shameful, or irrelevant. It was infuriating. There I was, an average Christian, super ticked off, and my feelings wouldn’t pray away. Yes, I realize I should be embarrassed for losing my peace over outside idiocy, but it happened. A lot!

I decided to do the only thing I could: claim a small space on the internet and fill it with Christ-centered content. Of course, the thought seemed preposterous to me, too. After all, significant organizations share the Good News; what would my little half-drop in the ocean do to help the situation?  I thought probably nothing, but I had to make an effort.

I felt driven to “protect” Christ. (Yes, that is even laughable to me.) However, my actions had a side effect: They helped me regain my peace. It never fails. Every time I’ve tried to help another, I’ve helped myself. But that’s a story for another day.

Fast-forward to today, and what a difference a year makes! It feels as though the tide has turned completely. Today, more people boldly proclaim His name, unapologetically living their faith out loud, not just in whispers but on the biggest stages. Have ya’ll noticed it, too?

It’s as though Christians stood up in one collective moment and declared, “Enough.”

And it is Glorious!

So, to all my fellow believers: Godspeed. Let us never forget Whose we are, and let us never be afraid to carry His name with boldness and grace in our little corners of the world (and internet).
