To Mute or Not to Mute

Y’all. The news is a lot.

My social media feed? Also, a lot.

Exhausting.

Lord, give me Strength. 

Strength to mute anything that disrupts my peace.

Strength to hold my tongue when all I’d be adding is more useless noise.

Strength to let go of offense, even when it comes banging on my front door like an FBI raid.

Strength to walk away from anything — or anyone — that drains instead of fills my spirit.

Strength to resist the urge to be right, vindicated, and have the last word.

And Lord, when You need me, give me Herculean Strength when the time comes for me to step up and be part of the solution.

Until then, I’m quietly waiting.

Because not everything needs my voice, but EVERYTHING needs Your presence.
